Starting Rate : $17.03 per hour

SUMMARY : Coordinates and ensures the food/guest service in the Restaurant area are up to casino standards. Have knowledge of or learn the EZ Labor payroll system to make any revisions or edits to the system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with our guests and fellow Associates.

  • Addresses guest’s complaints concerning service, food and beverages throughout all areas within the restaurants.

  • Possess knowledge of all positions within the area to assist Associates as needed.

  • Stay visible at all times to inspect establishment and observe Associates and patrons to ensure compliance with occupations, health and safety standards, and local liquor regulations.

  • Coordinates with Associates on a daily basis to conduct pre-shift meetings, inspection of wardrobe, weekly scheduling, PTO coverage, etc.

  • Ensures that all Associates sign in and out properly, and have adequate coverage to take scheduled breaks.

  • Assist Management with all promotional programs.

  • Oversees all facets of the Restaurant if no Manager is on duty.

  • Ensures that staffing levels are adequate for shift.

  • Learn or have knowledge of the Micros system.

  • Must become TIPS certified and have a solid comprehension of the training.

  • Makes sure all operations of any special events run other areas.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly involved with the supervision of 10 to 30 Associates in all restaurant areas. Ensures Supervisory responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws. Assist the Management in the training of associates. Plans, assigns, and directs work. Addresses complaints and resolves problems.

    QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully complete the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: One year certificate from college or technical school; or minimum High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and three to six months related experience and/or training.

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.

  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time. The associate frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation. The position exists in a casino work environment where there is frequent and regular exposure of the associate to noise and cigarette smoke from the casino floor.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must obtain and maintain a St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Gaming Work Permit which requires a criminal background check to be used solely for employment purposes. Failure to disclose required information will result in rescinding the job offer. Successful candidates for employment must submit to and pass a drug test for illegal substances prior to employment being confirmed. In case of a positive result, the candidate is not eligible for employment with the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort. Employment will not begin until process is complete.

    Required to attend all mandated mandatory trainings and receive certification if needed as per AMCR.
