*Therapist/Counselor at Racing for Recovery Job Responsibilities: *

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines. 
  • Conduct a thorough diagnostic assessment using interviews, observation of participants, gather information from collateral sources, and testing. 
  • Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, staff-in services, and ongoing training.
  • Development and implementation of individualized treatment plans and complete necessary updates as required. 
  • Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the legal and healthcare systems.
  • Provides intervention/treatment; conducts individual, family, and group therapeutic series with the scope of practice; provides competent series adhering to the highest ethical and professional standards in accordance with state regulations and Racing for Recovery's policies.

Requirements
  • LSW, LPC, LISW, LPCC-CS, LICDC-S in Ohio and maintain all required hours for license renewal.
  • CARF accreditation experience preferred. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to helping individuals on their path to recovery.
  • Knowledge of substance abuse treatment and counseling techniques
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgement.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and implementation of ASAM level of care. 
  • Proven experience in providing mental health counseling and therapy services.
  • Strong knowledge of medical documentation and record keeping practices
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
