Psychologist at Racing for Recovery Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat the psychological problems and the behavioral dysfunctions resulting from, or related to physical and mental health.
  • Perform psychological assessments, testing, and evaluations to help diagnose conditions or learn more about how people think, feel, and behave.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans and therapeutic processes.
  • Help clients define goals and plan action to achieve personal, social, educational and vocational development and adjustment.
  • Monitor client progress through regular meetings or sessions.
  • Work with counselors, therapists, case managers, and other professionals to provide the best care possible.
  • Completing all necessary clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide referrals when necessary for additional care, evaluation, or treatment.

Requirements
  • PhD with proven experience
  • CARF accreditation experience preferred.
  • Therapy/Therapeutical Services, Risk Assessment, Testing Procedures, Interviewing, Forensics
  • Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to helping individuals on their path to recovery.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and implementation of ASAM level of care, substance abuse treatment, and counseling techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of medical documentation and recordkeeping practices
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, maintaining patient confidentiality, and exercise good judgement.
