They will also assist with driving improvement for the following supply chain metrics in their assigned area: WADPO, PPI, SLISC, and SRPPM. The Sourcing Specialist will also be responsible for ensuring continuity of supply for their assigned area which will include risk mitigation plans along with dual sourcing activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Support and adhere to Parker’s Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures and observe housekeeping guidelines. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed:

Essential Functions:

  • Position sources suppliers, and may assist with bid evaluations, cost analyses, price justification, and risk assessment of suppliers.

  • May assist with supplier negotiations on new procurements or changes to existing purchase orders.

  • May drafts purchase orders and agreements for approval by the Division Sourcing & Procurement Manager.

  • Coordinates and participates in supplier meetings.

  • Four-year college degree in Supply Chain management or relative discipline is required.

  • Experience and/or exposure to supply chain concepts and methodologies, and manufacturing through internships or training program.

  • Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.

  • Must have intermediate computer skills and be able to understand of electronic processing.

  • Excellent written, verbal; interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.

    While performing the essential functions of this job, the associate will be required to walk, talk, or hear. Will be required to stand, sit, and reach with both hands and arms. The employee will occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Normal weight to be lifted or moved is between 0 and 15 pounds.
