About this Position

Supports engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype products. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions of a moderately difficult level. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Provides technical advice to lower level resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Helps develop and implement new tools to aid analysis and problem solving.

  • Employs technical knowledge and experience to anticipate and solve problems.

  • Uses advanced tools and techniques to execute test plans and analyze results.

  • Set up, conduct, and record information on component and system testing.

  • Conduct testing of prototype models or components under the direction of an Engineer. While conducting tests, provide written observations via accurate records per Departmental Standards. Prepare reports, graphs, and other Engineering analysis on spreadsheets and on other PC generated formats. Produce required documentation in a thorough manner within the prescribed time as deemed by the Engineer.

  • Organize and maintain lab facilities and equipment. Maintain equipment in accordance with Departmental procedure. Ensure the integrity of lab equipment and test setup by usage of proper procedure regarding calibration and setup of test equipment.

  • Assist Engineers in the development of assemblies in compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.

  • May provide technical advice to lower-level resources.

  • Maintain effective communication skills, work ethic, and cooperation with peers and Engineers.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a HS diploma or GED

  • 2+years experience

  • Experience in documentation of product assembly Work

  • Proven experience in overseeing the design and development, and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products.

  • Good project management skills.

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.

  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

    Preferred Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree a plus

  • The ideal candidate would have working knowledge on instruments required for EMC testing such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, antennas, coupling clamps, field probes, ESD simulators, etc. We are open to training.

  • Experience with EMC test automation software is helpful.

  • Understanding of ISO-17025 laboratory accreditation process would be a great plus.

  • Basic understanding of Electromagnetic theory applied to EMC testing.

Salary: USD 53600.00 - USD 80400.00 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
