Advanced DCS Application Engr

The primary purpose of this position is to deliver superior customer satisfaction with the Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) Technical Support response, communication, and resolution of Honeywell customer cases for the Honeywell Process Solutions System and Infrastructure line of business.

The GTAC Engineer works in a global team, providing support for a defined set of Process Control and Honeywell Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Experion products/technologies. Works closely with peer colleagues globally to solve technical problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced remote support & services remotely and effectively for Honeywell DCS products/technologies (i.e Experian PKS, TPS, TPN, etc)

  • Keep technically current with the broad Honeywell Process Solutions DCS product/systems portfolio, while maintaining expert knowledge on the Experion PKS Client/Servers product lines.

  • Work closely with Honeywell customers to achieve resolution for their technical issues and understanding their requirements on the different technical challenges they are facing

  • Proactively manage and address customer questions, issues, technical challenges with Honeywell DCS products

  • Maintain strong case documentation and follow-up to ensure that technical recommendations effectively resolve issues.

  • Actively share knowledge and new findings with other team members through the periodic creation of knowledge articles.

  • Ability to support through the follow-the-sun approach within the Global TAC organization or Emergency Support.

  • Ability to work and communicate directly with Honeywell Developers to resolve a customer issue.

  • Detect and report Product Defects on the products supported in his current discipline.

  • Maintain proactive and timely communications, providing frequent and informative customer updates

  • Support Honeywell affiliates by participating in meetings with customers

  • Ability to execute GTAC and other standard audit checklists.

The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

  • 4+ years’ experience in DCS systems engineering, operations, or services support functions within the Industrial automation industry.

WE VALUE

  • Engineering degree in Electronics, Chemical, Instrumentation or Process technologies

  • Experience with Honeywell DCS/Process Control Systems i.e. Experion PKS, TotalPlant Solution (TPS), TotalPlant Network (TPN) product families and architecture

  • Knowledge and troubleshooting experience in any of the following DCS products: LCN, ELCN, UCN, EUCN, HG, EHG, EPLCG, AM, EAM, APP/EAPP, ESVT, US/GUS/EST, PM/APM/HPM/EHPM/ EHPMx/C300PM, NIM/ENIM/ENB, EHB, UEA, HM, ELCN HM, TCMI, etc
