Key Responsibilities:

  • BS/BA degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Applicable knowledge of FAA records and recordkeeping regulations

  • 6 + years of aviation maintenance recordkeeping experience

Managers and leads a group of Analysts and/or Specialists within the Aircraft Records department (by function or fleet type) to ensure continued compliance with policies and procedures which provide for continued airworthiness, safety and regulatory compliance; with respect to maintenance compliance records for all aircraft, engines and components in accordance with FAA Part 121 regulations.

  • Responsible for supervising the day-to-day completion of department/group/fleet auditing and processing procedures regarding the receipt, audit and retention of appropriate designated (paper or electronic) Line, Base or Shop maintenance compliance records

  • Based upon department functional workgroup or fleet types, Lead the accurate, timely and complete initiation (and ongoing adjustments) of the division-wide mainframe’s system(s) that control the Forecasting of future airframe, engine and component maintenance tasks, inspections and engineering modifications (including AD’s)

  • Manage the research, investigation, audit, analysis and resolution of certain rotable component/assembly repairs or part changes completed by Maintenance, (or an Outside vendor) for accurate maintenance compliance documentation and mainframe tracking system accuracy

  • Manage daily support of inquiries from FAA, lessors, vendors and other departments, relevant to forecasting of maintenance inspections/alterations, and maintenance compliance records

  • Ensuring the daily availability of resources, procedures and training of department personnel

  • Lead the timely dedication of resources and skills for special investigations, legal subpoenas; or as a result of aircraft incident or accident

  • Constantly exploring and providing for the implementation of progressive efficient automation enhancements; that result in internal or external quality improvements

  • Ensuring and fostering career development and a Working Together climate within the department, and in daily interfaces with other departments

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • BS/BA degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Applicable knowledge of FAA records and recordkeeping regulations

  • 6 + years of aviation maintenance recordkeeping experience

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong and demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification.

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
