Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a talented Environmental Remediation Office Leader (Oil & Gas), with both internal and external responsibilities in our Houston, Texas office. Join us and make a positive impact in your community while working on rewarding projects!

As part of this role, you will work directly with multiple Oil & Gas department managers to achieve strategic objectives on major accounts. This role has both internal and external-facing responsibilities, with opportunity to apply and further develop managerial and client development skills and a potential progression towards a deputy Program/Department Manager position within our Oil & Gas Group. Important aspects of the role include providing leadership and supervision of 8-10 staff and optimizing regional staff resourcing across departments to achieve strategic objectives. Additionally, you will also apply your expertise in both technical and project management roles.

While this role is considered a hybrid (office and remote) position, you will spend 2-3 days per week in the office in a leadership capacity.

Responsibilities for this position may also include:

  • Supervises staff during all phases of billable project work including scheduling of resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery and optimal utilization.

  • Oversees the preparation of work plans and organizes project studies

  • Interfacing directly with technical project manager and project team to deliver projects on scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Understand and incorporate client requirements in management of projects including commercial contract terms, change management process, financial performance KPIs, etc.

  • Use client and AECOM prescribed tools to track and manage financial aspects of the projects

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and meet budgetary objectives, while adjusting project constraints based on financial analysis

  • Strong local TCEQ and/or Gulf Coast state regulatory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and (8+) Eight years of relevant oil and gas/remediation experience and/or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education

  • US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.

  • This role is subject to a background check and MVR check

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in team management as a direct supervisor.

  • 15+ years of experience in site investigation and remediation.

  • 5+ years of project management experience

  • Professional certification preferred (e.g., Prof. Eng./Geologist, Chartered Eng./Geologist, PMP, etc.).

  • Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences.

  • Experience successfully managing environmental projects for various types of clients.

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication, both verbal and written skills.

  • Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders.

Additional Information

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $120,000.00 - $150,000.00.
