What we want

The Postdoctoral Research Associate conducts research projects independently under faculty supervision, trains graduate students and research assistants in the laboratory, prepares manuscripts for publications, and submits grant applications.

Required Education

  • PhD in a biology-related field

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing

  • Ability to positively and professionally interact with supervisor and colleagues

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Knowledge of principles and methods for teaching and instructing individuals and groups

  • Proficient with molecular and cellular assays

  • Ability to conduct mouse experiments

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of wet-lab experience in cancer metastasis research and treatment

  • Experience in training students

  • Cancer research experience

  • Publication record in cancer metastasis

  • Experience in cancer cell lines and mouse models

    Responsibilities

  • Conducts Experiments for Assigned Research Projects: Conducts research-related projects in cancer biology and treatment. Documents experimental procedures and data. Analyzes and interprets experimental data. Prepares manuscripts for publications. Assists the supervising faculty in grant application preparation.

  • Provides Training and Supervision of Assigned Research Assistants and Graduate Students: Provides technical training to research assistants and graduate students. Supervises research assistants and graduate students. Ensures that lab staff are properly trained to be successful.
