MD Anderson Cancer Center Senior Research Data Coordinator in Houston, Texas
The primary purpose of the Senior Research Data Coordinator position is to perform administrative and research-related activities for the coordination of studies aligned with the Bionutrition Research Core.
The ideal candidate would be bilingual in English and Spanish
Research Study Procedures. Effectively communicate study procedures and purpose to participants. Conduct research interviews, administer dietary and other study assessments according to established methods, collect research data in accordance with protocol schedule and handle participant data in accordance with all institutional clinical research and governmental policies. Maintain regular contact with research participants and implement follow up procedures per protocol.
Research Data Collection and Coordination Obtain, review, and enter dietary and other data in compliance with study procedures; maintain organized files/documents (paper or electronic), including source documents and record all study/participant activities. Ensure the safety and confidentiality of patient/participant data. Communicate clearly with PI and other research staff regarding data collection, data entry and management issues, as well as other project-related tasks. Assist in the preparation and processing of data and data reports used for grant submissions, progress reports, manuscripts, presentations, and abstracts. Support or assist with other research activities as needed under the guidance of the core director, dietitians, chef, and research study team.
Research Administrative Responsibilities Maintain study protocol and records. Develop study materials and communication plans for participants. Obtain all institutional and necessary training and certifications to perform assigned duties. Assist in completing project reports. Actively participate in project meetings.
Research Kitchen Responsibilities Assist with inventory, packing, and quality control procedures involved in food provision for research study participants. Adhere to practices, policies, and procedures and comply with regulatory requirements, including food safety and kitchen sanitation.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Four years of related experience. With preferred degree, no experience required.
Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish. Experience in nutrition research and/or clinical research. Familiarity with Epic/MyChart and various computer software packages including Microsoft Office, REDCap, OnCore, and nutrition analysis software such as NDSR
