Overview:

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Security Operations will be essential to the Enterprise Security function of a Fortune 500 company. This position, in conjunction with the Enterprise Security Programs Senior Manager and Director of Enterprise Security, will work with various stakeholders across the enterprise to develop comprehensive, risk-based security standards, processes, and programs. Additionally, this position will develop and deliver various security and crisis management intelligence reports, manage our ever-growing OSINT program, and develop strategies to mitigate dynamic threats impacting our critical infrastructure sector.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop compliance and metrics system for all applicable security & crisis management requirements.

  • Key stakeholders in maintaining our holistic security management system.

  • Develop a comprehensive OSINT/Intelligence program.

  • Assist in the development of Security training material.

  • Establish communication and project plans for key program stakeholders.

  • Maintain and further develop our travel security program to support the organization’s duty of care requirements.

  • Design of enterprise-wide risk-based security standards.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Security Management, or Criminal Justice is required. A Master’s Degree is highly preferred.

  • At least 10 years of security management experience (military, government, law enforcement) with a minimum of 5 years in a progressive corporate security organization with experience in overseeing security and crisis management in complex environments.

  • Experience in building risk-based security practices and standards and successfully integrating them within the business.

  • A solid understanding of regulatory programs such as NERC-CIP, CFATS, and MTSA.

  • Experience in open-source intelligence systems, using monitoring and analysis to develop mitigation strategies in critical infrastructure industries.

Working Conditions:

Work is normally in an office environment. However, work is often performed at various locations where NRG may be located or seek to develop locations, sometimes under stressful conditions and/or in unpleasant locations or environments with various risks, during all kinds of weather and frequently in addition to and after normal working hours at night, on weekends or holidays. The ability to travel extensively on short notice is required.

The employee is required to respond by telephone or in-person during on-duty and off-duty hours.
