Responsibilities

Weatherford is hiring a Supply Chain Manager in Houston, TX

Location: 4420 West Greens Road Houston, TX 77066

Job Purpose

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for driving Supply Chain execution at the plant level, delivery year over year performance improvement, and for contributing to the development of an industry leading supply chain environment. The Supply Chain Manager will be a critical partner to the Senior Director of the MPD Center of Excellence to execute supply chain activity effectively and efficiently within the facility, leveraging global processes for materials, planning and procurement.

Roles & Responsibilities

    QUALITY

  • Responsible for being familar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherfords Management System

  • Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement

    OPERATIONS

  • Supports and contributes to the development, implementation, and execution of strategic supply chain processes in support of supply chain and business objectives

  • Accountable for maximizing service levels, in conjunction with inventory goals, through distribution requirement planning and deployments

  • Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and on time delivery of customer requirements

  • Identify opportunities and implement action plans to increase efficiencies and decrease cost

  • Identify, develop, and report on key KPI’s relative to the role that overall supply chain performance in service to the order levels and customer satisfaction

  • Drives the plant materials, planning and procurement strategy to reflect internal customer needs and summarize business requirements aligned with the global Repair & Maintenance strategy

  • Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and our standards

  • Work with order management, sales & marketing, production managers, suppliers, and third-party providers in support of business objectives

  • Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments

  • Works closely with internal customer operations to enhance performance at the point of impact whether in specific country operations and/or contracts

    COMMUNICATION

  • Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external

  • Primary interface for all Planning, Procurement and Customer Service issues to meet production schedules and customer requirements

    FINANCIAL

  • All employees have an accountability to the organisation to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses

  • Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams in support of strategic initiatives both within the supply chain organization and across Manufacturing and Repair & Maintenance

  • Identify process problems and concerns and make recommendations for innovative solutions and corrective actions to achieve desirable results, help the company better manager cost on supplies and supplier services

Qualifications

Experience & Education

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline or

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in procurement, general/strategic sourcing, supply chain management or similar experience

    PREFERRED
  • Supply Chain Management certification

  • Oil & Gas industry supply chain experience

  • MBA in Business Administration or Master’s Degree

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    REQUIRED

  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes

  • Strong product or market knowledge

  • Microsoft Office

    Travel Requirement:

    This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: <10%
