Comfort Systems USA Midsouth HVAC Service Tech (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning Service Technician) in Huntsville, Alabama

POSITION SUMMARY

The HVACService Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing commercial heating and cooling systems and refrigeration equipment. HVACTechnician will also build relationships with clients and grow alongside the organization.

?PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES?

  • Provides preventive maintenance on heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems

  • Troubleshoots units that are not working and replaces parts that are defective

``` - Repairs refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, control systems, and humidity and temperature control systems

  • Troubleshoot and repair all electrical and mechanical components of HVAC equipment

  • Provides start-ups and troubleshooting for a variety of commercial HVAC systems, meets with customers, evaluates their needs and makes recommendations

  • Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairing of commercial/ industrial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems

  • Build strong customer relationships and provide excellent customer service

``` - Build knowledge and understanding of new and existing customer needs/expectations

  • Filling out the required information on deficiency estimating sheets for the office to generate repair proposals for the customer

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC

``` - Valid driver's license

  • Able and willing to pass criminal background check and drug test

  • Experience working on a variety of equipment (packaged andbuilt upsystems, ice machines, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, etc.)

  • Experience reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints and applying to work at hand

``` - Experience working in the field on the commercial side with a wide variety of manufacturer systems

  • Technical capability to diagnose problems of varying complexity and reach ultimate solution

  • Customer service skills; friendly and outgoing; communicate effectively and professionally with customers to evaluate needs and make recommendations

  • Reliable to complete work on time and above expectations

  • Acts and makes decisions in the best interest of the company and the team ahead of your own
