Description
SAIC is currently seeking a Military Action Officer located at Camp Smith in Oahu, HI to manage to support daily operations, activities and actions required in the USINDOPACOM J755 Civilian Harm Mitigation and Response (CHMR) Branch under the J5 Strategic Planning & Policy Directorate to coordinate the day-to-day procedures and processes required to ensure the branch plans and executes the required actions and completes deliverables on time and act on the branch CHMR mission and provide support and coordination of all staff activities and assembling the action package for decision by leadership.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Ensure unified action within the J55 Division to plan, direct, monitor and assess actions and products that support the CHMR charter in a dynamic and complex environment
Create well-researched, well-written, and actionable documents for decision-makers
Maintain constant communication with the Branch Leadership and staff to ensure proper coordination of the personnel, meeting plans of action and milestones, and tracking the development of required deliverables by the staff
Support the develop, implement, and maintain efficient protocols, processes, and procedures
Support the team in the development of “plans to plan” and execution of plans, scheduling and tracking events and milestone completion, calendar scheduling, and preparations for key internal events
Schedule In-Progress Review (IPRs) meetings with all stakeholders
Work with military, civilian and contractor personnel daily
Work and maintain appropriate OPSEC conditions at multiple levels
Compile and make available event daily agendas and schedules
Support other duties as assigned
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree and fourteen (14)+ years of experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
4+ years of proven experience in an action officer or operational management role
5+ years of experience in operations planning with US Armed Services, including joint assignments.
Knowledge of the Joint Exercise life cycle (JELC)
Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service
Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and interact with senior government leadership and program managers
Experience in planning and managing complex tasks under tight time constraints
Knowledge of general business software and an aptitude for learning new applications
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
Must have a current Active Top Secret
Must be a current US Citizen
