Aerotek Multi Craft Maintenance Technician in Huntsville, Alabama

Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician – Robotics, Electrical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics - $40-44/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position requires proficiency in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing complex electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PLC programming, CNC machine operation, and robotics, as well as a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance. This role requires versatility in handling both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks across various equipment types.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, design, and test hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, and servo drives.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems, including To-yo-puck, Mitsubishi, and Omron controllers in the plant.

  • Work with industrial robots (ABB and Fanuc) to perform repairs, maintenance, and program modifications.

  • Fabricate and machine parts (metal, plastic, and wood) for jigs, fixtures, and other project needs, as well as equipment repairs.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, high-speed spindles, bearing burnouts, and related systems, with a focus on 208V (Japanese standard) and AC/DC drives.

  • Perform root cause analysis to address equipment failures and prevent recurrence.

  • Document work performed using electronic and written methods for accurate reporting.

  • Provide support for emergency repairs and maintenance operations, ensuring minimal downtime.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in industrial maintenance, including robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery and electronic systems (PLCs, CNC machines, robots, etc.).

  • Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs, wiring schematics, and automation systems.

  • Experience with ABB and Fanuc robotic systems and PLC programming/troubleshooting.

  • Mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge, including the use of tools for machining, welding, and repairs.

  • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Available to work any shift, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and shutdowns.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrical degree, diploma, or certification of completion in electrical studies.

  • Experience with CNC machines, including milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders.

  • Experience in programming and maintaining robots in an industrial environment.

  • Military background in industrial maintenance or related fields is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $68000.00 - $83000.00/yr.

  • $5000 sign-on bonus if within 50 miles

  • $10,000 relocation if outside the 50 miles
