General Requirements:

Associates Degree in related field. Three years related experience or experience in a related field. Certifications may be required. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:

Performs advanced specialist duties for the Financial Aid & Scholarships Office.

Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):

Performs specialist duties. Performs inspections and audits and reviews students’ financial aid manual awards, Federal Aid Eligibility Validation ( FAEV ) reports, and Cost of Attendance ( COA ) reports. Provides Financial Aid assistance to current and prospective students and parents, departments, and staff. Plans, develops, implements, coordinates and monitors programs or services. Gathers and compiles data to produce specialized reports and documents. Analyzes students’ awards and processes loan revisions as required. Runs processes and exports files. Resolves and reconciles rejected loan records and researches loan disbursement errors. Assists in running daily files to facilitate the Course Program of Study (CPoS) process. Assists in developing policies and interprets policies and procedures. May be responsible for planning and participating in special projects. Maintains complex files. Performs other related duties as assigned.
