Sales Abuse Prevention (SAP) team supports the Community and Collusion risk on a global scale, covering worldwide marketplaces. SAP Ops has a mission to protect the reliability and authenticity of Amazon’s Customer Review feature for all products worldwide. Ops team supports this mission by safeguarding customer experience, improving investigator experience and reducing cost.

The Business Analyst (BA) will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and be able to create and maintain efficient & automated processes. Should have knowledge of working with business intelligence tools and can model multidimensional datasets. BA is expected to be analytical and creative. This is a role with high visibility to senior leadership.

Key job responsibilities

• Own the design, development, and maintenance of scalable solutions for ongoing metrics, reports, dashboards, etc. to support business needs.

• Expertise in SQL queries and Python

• Pull the data needed with standard query syntax; periodically identify more advanced methods of query optimization.

• Work with leadership to understand the customer needs and define solutions.

• Use analytical and statistical rigor to solve complex problems and drive business decisions.

• Develop queries and visualizations

• Monitor and troubleshoot operational or data issues in the data pipelines

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

• Experience with Excel

• Experience with SQL

• Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience

• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
