Role Description:

The Country Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing - India will lead and execute strategic sourcing initiatives within India, driving cost efficiencies, supplier performance, and risk management across multiple procurement categories. This role will be responsible for developing local and regional sourcing strategies aligned with global procurement objectives while ensuring compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in procurement, strong data-driven decision-making skills, and experience working with cross-functional and global teams to optimize sourcing strategies. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to drive sourcing initiatives that deliver long-term value for the organization in India and beyond
Roles & Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Leadership
Develop and execute country-specific sourcing strategies that align with global procurement objectives and business needs.
Lead high-value negotiations and supplier contract management to optimize cost, quality, and risk mitigation.
Manage end-to-end procurement processes across multiple categories, ensuring cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Identify and drive cost optimization initiatives, leveraging industry benchmarks, supplier insights, and market intelligence.
Market & Data Analytics
Analyze large and complex datasets related to procurement, supplier performance, and market trends to generate actionable insights.
Utilize advanced analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, SAP, or similar) to support strategic decision-making and drive procurement efficiencies.
Monitor economic, geopolitical, and supply chain trends impacting sourcing strategies in India and globally.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
Develop and manage key supplier relationships to enhance performance, innovation, and long-term value creation.
Partner with regional and global stakeholders, including finance, operations, and legal teams, to ensure sourcing strategies align with business priorities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive supplier development initiatives and operational improvements.
Risk Management & Compliance
Implement robust risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity.
Ensure full compliance with corporate procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing guidelines.
Drive supplier diversity, ESG initiatives, and sustainability programs in alignment with company objectives.
Leadership & Team Development
Provide strategic direction and mentorship to junior sourcing professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Lead process automation and digital transformation initiatives to enhance sourcing efficiency and procurement excellence.
Represent India’s sourcing function in regional and global procurement forums, ensuring alignment with broader company strategies.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.

Significant Strategic Sourcing Experience across a broad range of categories
Strong experience in Project Management
Independently develops practical solutions (Planning, prioritizing and delivery), with experience in leading project teams across geographic and functional reporting lines
Stellar Supplier Negotiation skills
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Experience with Global Procurement e-Sourcing and CLM Tools (e.g. Workday Strategic Sourcing, Sirion Labs)
Cross-functional team management skills
People Management
Experience across multiple indirect and direct categories
Soft Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams
Ability to navigate ambiguity
High degree of initiative and self-motivation
Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing and procurement.
