As a Senior Windows Server Engineer, you will part of the OptumRx Integration and Support Engineering Team. Seeking someone with a solid background in Windows Server administration and a passion for technology. Team Focus:

Integration and support for OptumRx entities, enhancing operational maturity, managing compliance and vulnerabilities, and creating automation solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and supporting Microsoft Active Directory domain environments

  • Perform AD and Windows Server administration tasks including software and security updates

  • Domain Name Services and Group Policy Objects management

  • Ensure the Microsoft domains and Windows server meet company compliance, regulations, and policies

  • Familiar with ITIL Change Management best practices

  • Monitor and address AD and Windows server performance and scalability issues

  • Research, resolve, and document complex server technical issues

  • Provide direct support to our users

  • Use routine troubleshooting methodologies that provide efficient, effective resolution, and minimize impact to the customer

  • Adheres to all documented departmental policies, procedures, and knowledge base documentation

  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • 10+ years of Active Directory and Windows Server administration and support in an enterprise IT or service provider setting

  • Experience remediating software vulnerabilities

  • Experience working with IP addressing, DHCP and DNS

  • Experience managing certificates

  • Experience working with distributed computing solutions

  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to quickly learn and implement modern technologies

  • Proven ability to participate in on-call support rotation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with domain access management products

  • Proficiency with a scripting language
