The Hershey Company Warehouse Supervisor in Indiana

Job Location: Plymouth, IN Summary: * This position reports directly to the warehouse manager. Responsible for entire warehouse operation on all shifts. Operation includes shipping and receiving of raw materials and finished goods. Along with shipping and receiving, this position is responsible for put aways of finished goods from production lines and supplying lines with production supplies and ingredients including packaging. * Roles and Responsibilities: * * Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities in team member performance * Organize and maintain inventory and storage area * Ensure shipments and inventory transactions accuracy * Communicate job expectations and coach team members * Determine staffing levels workload * Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status * Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices * Qualifications and Education requirements: * One year of warehouse leadership in a supervisor or lead role * One year of production experience * Must read, speak and write English * Familiar with SQF, FDA and OSHA requirements PREFERRED SKILLS: * CDL * Forklift certification * Warehouse management system experience * Food production experience * PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:* The* physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an team member to successfully perform the essential functions* of this job. The team member must be able to lift with both hands and lift overhead with both hands. The team member must demonstrate good visual acuity and hand/eye coordination. Must be able to talk/communicate and hear. Work environment conditions may require/recommended the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, side shields, steel toe or composite toe shoes, hearing protection and hair/beard nets.
