ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY

POSITION: ALLIED HEALTH INSTRUCTOR

ADJUNCT

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Adjunct Allied Health Instructor will teach no more than 25 hours per

academic year. The teaching assignment will include classes such as Nurse

Aide, Home Health Aide, and Medication Aide. CNA and CMA courses

requires clinical hours on site at a KDADS approved site.

Position Description

QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Hold a current Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license,

2. Minimum of two years full-time licensed nursing experience (RN)

including one of the following:

At least 1,750 hours of that experience must be as a licensed nurse in a

setting which demonstrates long-term nursing care, such as an adult care

home, long-term care unit of a hospital or a state institution or

Complete at least 7 hours of professional continuing education in Person-

Centered Care for the Adult Care Home.

3. Meet at least one of the following requirements:

Experience supervising nurse aides or

Experience teaching adults or

Complete a course in teaching adults or

Complete a professional continuing education offering on supervision or

adult education.

LOCATION: Topeka, KS area

SALARY: \$600 per credit hour

STARTING DATE: October, 2024
