AON Global Benefits Assistant Vice President in Irvine, California

AON is looking for a Global Benefits AVP - LA, Irvine - Open to West Coast

Advanced consultant with in depth technical and consulting skills, leads projects, client teams and some client relationships, demonstrates strong leadership and performance in sales/ marketing, has additional role(s) within the practice. We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Global Benefits Assistant Vice President to support Aon’s Global Benefits Practice. This position can be virtual or located anywhere in the Western part of the US.

International consulting: The candidate is expected to execute consulting assignments including benefit audits, benchmarking, opening for business, M&A, multinational pooling, governance, risk management, global DC consulting, and other types of Global Benefits client projects with very little direction.

Client relationship management: The candidate must have solid business acumen and project management skill. Should be able to manage revenue and be fully accountable for client relationship building and management. The candidate will be responsible for managing strategic as well as tactical interaction with assigned clients and coordinate the efforts of a multidisciplinary team of consultants in numerous locations around the world.

Revenue growth – The candidate will be responsible for achieving revenue growth goals and expanding their existing client base through prospecting, cross selling and opportunity management.

Intellectual capital development and training – the candidate is expected to participate, as needed, on task forces, think tanks and special project teams. The ideal candidate will also be able to train and mentor junior members of the team to help them develop their understanding of Global Benefits and consulting skills.

Role Responsibilites:

  • Leads and manages multiple projects simultaneously, from start to finish, with little to no direction

  • Meets financial targets for respective role

  • Operates as client lead for small/ midlevel clients and acts as major contributor to large clients, when appropriate, directing the efforts of others through project management

  • Leads client team in the completion of major renewal coordination milestones

  • Monitors time spend and project budget

  • Leads problem-solving and effective integration of solutions to problems

  • Upon collection and manipulation of data, identifies and resolves inconsistencies

  • Communicates with external parties to resolve issues and responds to larger inquiries

  • Reviews and finalizes client materials for global benefits projects

  • Responsible for all consulting deliverables

  • Conducts client meetings and presents results as lead of a collaborative client service team, as appropriate

  • Leads financial and strategic discussions with clients, as appropriate

  • Frames results in context of the marketplace, as appropriate

  • Anticipates and addresses client and team needs

  • Influences client strategic and financial direction

  • Begins to establish relationships in strategic

    Education and Years of Experience::

  • 6- 8 years or more of direct experience recommended

  • Bachelors degree (business, mathematics, finance, economics, etc.)

  • Demonstrates advanced technical and consultative skills/ expertise

  • Demonstrates high quality client interaction skills

  • Demonstrates comprehensive sales/ marketing skills

  • Continues to develop the ability to expand existing and new business revenue goals

  • Participates in training opportunities to remain current with regulatory environment

  • Completes courses relevant to skills necessary for position

  • Keeps informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages and technology

    Pay Transparency Laws:

    The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $120K to $160K annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive [an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
