Our team is looking for a Software Developer Engineer, who loves listening to our customers, working as a team, and proactively taking the lead whenever necessary. Luna moves fast and breaks the traditional expectations of gaming and seeks candidates who thrive in ambiguity at an accelerated pace. You can combine your passion for gaming and technology to bring customers the next generation of cloud gaming in an evolving space in the industry.

You will work closely with Senior Engineers and Product Managers to help design and build new highly scalable cloud-gaming features, as well as enhance and expand existing functionality. This team collaborates with many teams across the Luna organization, and is an exciting opportunity for an engineer looking to contribute to innovative customer facing features.

Key job responsibilities

As a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon Luna, you will play a crucial role in building and enhancing features that directly impact end users, leveraging both UI and service-side development. This role requires a full-stack development background, enabling you to work seamlessly across the entire technology stack to deliver a smooth and engaging user experience. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the features are scalable and meet high standards of quality. Additionally, your operational experience will be key in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving operational issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of the services provided to Amazon Luna customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
