MAT Industries, LLC in Jackson TN has an immediate opening for a Quality Test Lab Technician that meets the following minimum requirements. MAT Industries, LLC is located on 213 Industrial Drive, Jackson TN 38301.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct testing following UL1450, CSA 22.2, ASME, and Engineering requirements.

  • Conduct packaging testing using ISTA as a guideline.

  • Conduct testing following customer requirements and brand standards.

  • Maintain life test units, daily test logs, and reporting issues to the assigned engineer.

  • Follow test procedures outlined in test requests.

  • Assist in maintaining calibration for the lab equipment.

  • Good mechanical aptitude with strong ability to troubleshoot.

  • The ability to fabricate fixtures and test jigs.

  • Must have a background in manufacturing with the ability to identify potential assembly issues on new products and revisions.

  • Must be detail-oriented, able to discern small changes in product performance and able document the nature of those changes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates Degree /Technical Certificate related to the Engineering field preferred

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and use simple gauges required

  • Must be familiar with basic desktop computer operation including e-mail, spreadsheets and able to enter general test results in a pre-determined format; familiarity with MS Office preferred.

  • Ability to meet attendance standards.  All full-time employees are required to work a 40-hr week.  At times it may be necessary to work additional hours in order to get the required tasks accomplished to meet deadlines.
