Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Controller for our operations in Johnson City, Tennessee. This role lies within the telecom provider industry, and primarily involves overseeing and managing financial reporting, auditing, and general ledger functions. The successful candidate will also be proficient in QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of financial reporting for the organization.

• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports.

• Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of the organization's financial information.

• Manage the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.

• Utilize QuickBooks for financial management and reporting tasks.

• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve financial efficiency.

• Collaborate with other team members and departments to streamline financial operations.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

• Provide financial advice and guidance to the management team when required.

Requirements • Applicants should have proficiency in Auditing, with a focus on accuracy and detail.

• A strong understanding of Financial Reporting, including the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections, is required.

• Candidates must have experience in managing and maintaining a General Ledger, ensuring its accuracy and completeness.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is a must, including the ability to manage and process financial transactions through the software.

• The role requires a deep understanding of the Controller function, with a focus on financial planning, debt financing, and budget management.

• Candidates should have excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, with a focus on identifying financial issues and providing appropriate solutions.

• Candidates must have a thorough understanding of applicable laws, codes, and regulations related to financial management.

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required, and a Master's degree or professional certifications such as CPA are preferred.

• Candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.

• Proven experience in strategic planning and execution, including the ability to plan and manage projects, is necessary for this role.

• Applicants must demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and other business-related software.

• The ability to work independently and under pressure, while managing multiple tasks concurrently, is essential for this role.
