We are continuing to increase the capabilities of our team, and we are adding a new position within Information Solutions for an experienced Telecom and Network Support Specialist.

Our Telecom and Network Support Specialist will join us to ensure the continuity of our communication systems while driving the evolution of our telecommunications infrastructure. We are transitioning from our legacy systems to a more modern platform, enhancing user experience, and supporting network reliability. The person in this role will impact our goals and our mission through ensuring we have robust support and tools for our team, residents and clients.

In addition, the individual will work closely with our Network Engineer, assisting with network administration and firewall management. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with experience in telephony systems, an eagerness to learn modern telecom solutions, and foundational networking knowledge.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead the execution of our telecommunications infrastructure transition and then develop processes in collaboration with the team to ensure ongoing support and maintenance of our systems.

  • Collaborate with our Network Engineer to assist with network administration and firewall management.

  • Identify and collaborate around ways to enhance resident, client and team member experiences as it relates to telecom and network support.

  • Be a positive and pro-active problem solver. Be people-oriented while also able to advance the technical and operational work.

  • Model positive team member behaviors, with a clear alignment to our mission and our health & well-being philosophies.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • 4+ years of experience supporting legacy telephony systems, preferably ShoreTel or similar PBX platforms.

  • Familiarity with modern cloud-based telecom solutions (e.g., Zoom Phone, Microsoft Teams, RingCentral, etc.).

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP).

  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a professional environment.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to train and support end-users.

  • Ability to manage a varied workload and multiple priorities through effective use of time and solid project management skills.

Please note- this is not a remote position and will require the individual to join our team in Johnston, Iowa.
