We’re looking for a Service Team Lead for our business in Malaysia the main job function is to perform and oversee all mechanical and electrical engineering work related to planning, assembly/disassembly, repair and maintenance as well as installation / dismantling, commissioning & of all equipment and machinery of Aggreko Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

What you’ll do:
Manage daily workshop operations, coordinating with departments and vendors, ensuring procedures are followed, and resolving complex issues
Supervise technical/support staff, assign workloads, and enforce policies
Prepare reports on labor hours, materials, and parts
Provide technical advice to internal and external customers
Oversee maintenance and repair of rental fleet equipment (generators, load banks, transformers, etc.)
Create, delegate, and approve workshop and project service orders
Plan and execute periodic equipment maintenance, ensuring system updates
Be available for short-notice travel and emergency response after hours
Maintain a clean, safe work area per HSE standards to prevent incidents
Ensure service team adherence to Aggreko Global Service Centre Standards
Ensure work meets technical, budget, quality, safety, and environmental standards
Perform additional tasks as needed
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
Minimally 3 years of experience managing a team
Excellent command of spoken & written in Malay & English
Diploma in any related engineering field with min. 5 years’ experience in heavy equipment maintenance or equivalent
Practical, proactive, and self-disciplined with a hands-on approach
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus
Open to improving processes and challenging current practices
Flexible with working hours, including weekends and travel at short notice
Reliable commuter, mature, and domestically secure
