Responsibilities Plans and assigns work to subordinate supervisors or to personnel who guide and control work. Work is conducted within Voice Systems Division. Manages the Voice and Video operation and maintenance of the Presidential Information Technology Community’s (PITC) which includes Unclassified and Classified networks. Evaluates, and translates new operational requirements into Voice engineered solutions. Participates in the development and coordination of memoranda concerning implementation of DoD, Joint Staff or applicable WHCA maintenance policy. Plans and coordinates project implementation, to include network engineering and installation, and schedules/coordinates authorized service interruptions that directly support the President, Vice President, the National Security Council, and others. Ensures all emerging programs are technically compatible, employs proper security considerations, provides adequate functionality, and meets or exceed standards and guidelines for the security of telecommunications systems. Problem Solving- identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues. I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: exercising technical and administrative functions for a team of telecommunications, IT, and maintenance specialists, and overseeing/managing contractor work.
