JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

Registered nurse preferred. Must maintain a current licensure or permit as a registered nurse in the state of Arkansas. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience

Three to five years minimum experience required. Prefer experience in regulatory requirements i.e., JC, FDA, AR Dept of Health, ACOS.

Physical

Normal hospital environment. Close eye handwork. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Operates computer, printer, fax machine and telephone. Frequent sitting. Lifting up to 5 lbs., carrying 10 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible as a team member to ensure proper operations of the Trauma Center, and attends required conferences. Collaborates with the Trauma Medical Director, ED Medical Director, ED Director, and ED Patient Care Manager to assure Trauma Center operation meets regulatory requirements. Serves as a team member to ensure the integrity of abstractions from trauma cases and follow-up of data. Reports all required data in a timely manner. Provides support, as requested, on other projects and functions.

Provide education and support to the bedside CVICU nurses in providing Advanced Heart Care (specifically how to read & interpret the hemodrynamic monitoring, how to care for valve patients, how to care for unroofing, ecmo and TAVR patients) While working and the surgeon/anesthesiologist is in the OR , He will be the point of contact for the CVICU nurses and he will call the provider.
