Naval Air Systems Command AIRCRAFT OVERHAUL AND REPAIR SUPERVISOR in Kaneohe, Hawaii

Summary You will serve as an AIRCRAFT OVERHAUL AND REPAIR SUPERVISOR in the Industrial Execution Department, Production Trades Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. Responsibilities You will assign work to artisans through subordinate leaders indicating methods and equipment to be used. You will track and monitor all work with in assigned areas, looking for cost overruns, inefficiency, incorrect workload standards, training, deficiencies, support deficiencies, etc. You will take steps to resolve problems by determining the cause, finding solutions and taking corrective action. You will observe work in progress to assure on time completion and verify the quality going into the product. You will maintain administrative records for employees to include time and attendance, man hours expended and labor attestations. You will participate in the hiring or promotion process of candidates by serving as a rating panel member or serving as an EEO representative. I have the ability to independently perform the most difficult and complex tasks as an expert or have been consulted by other employees in difficult situations performing duties including: Supervise and direct a group of aircraft artisans, ensuring progress and productivity; Mentors and motivates artisans to promote their professional growth and job satisfaction; Conducts formal and on-the-job training for subordinate personnel; Resolves problems and obstacles to maintain smooth workflow and timely task completion; Lead production meetings to provide updates and address constraints; Endures challenging conditions, including noise, dust, hazards, and various weather conditions; Provide clear work direction and monitors the progress of artisans; Prioritize and assign work, verifying and inspecting artisans' tasks and procedures; Offers expert technical advice, methods, procedures, and techniques; Communicates effectively through oral and written means; Maintains compliance with procedures and regulations; Proficient in using organizational computer applications; Experience in E-2 or V-22 Aircraft production line operations; Familiarity with monitoring and managing indirect and direct labor costs. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence. B. I work on my own initiative under general observation or supervision subject to occasional inspection. C. I have the ability to perform common tasks under general observation or supervision including: Can supervise and direct a group of aircraft artisans, ensuring progress and productivity; Mentors and motivates artisans to promote their professional growth and job satisfaction; Can provide formal and on-the-job training for subordinate personnel; Resolves problems and obstacles to maintain smooth workflow and timely task completion; Participates in production meetings to provide updates and address constraints; Endures challenging conditions, including noise, dust, hazards, and various weather conditions; Provides clear work direction and monitors the progress of artisans; Can prioritizes and assign work, verifying and inspecting artisans' tasks and procedures; Provides technical advice, methods, procedures, and techniques; Communicates effectively through oral and written means; Maintains compliance with procedures and regulations; Uses organizational computer applications; Works on E-2 or V-22 Aircraft production line operations; Familiarity with monitoring and managing indirect and direct labor costs. I work under the supervision of a higher level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
