Compensation Range

Hourly: $23.20 - $26.90 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

If you’d like a job where you’d help our Commercial Card clients grow their business and build a strong relationship with Commerce, this might be the job for you. The Account Manager I works with commercial card clients to provide oversight and support of Commercial Card programs and Purchasing card programs. The focus of this role is on building relationships, strategic growth of existing card programs, operational quality, problem resolution, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the day-to-day needs of managed clients or escalated issues and report back any significant findings to all involved/accountable parties

  • Identify growth opportunities to meet annual volume goals and cross sell

  • Generate pricing models, create and present client business reviews, and perform credit review and management

  • Manage vendors, create documentation changes, and address billing and reconciliation issues

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify trends, trainings, and optimal product offerings

  • Perform analysis necessary to determine the best product offering a client should be on and communicate results to clients via email or presentation

  • Work independently to support daily operational functions and problem solve issues that arise

  • Provide ongoing client training and product navigation assistance with a strong technical and project management focus

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and meet Commerce Bank’s driving record criteria; ongoing employment may be contingent upon meeting all driving requirements

  • General knowledge of commercial or consumer credit

  • Superior presentation skills

  • Proven customer service skills

  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • 2+ years B2B sales or support experience required

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $23.20 to $26.90 per hour. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
