Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in KANSAS CITY, Missouri. This role will be integral to our team, with key responsibilities in processing financial transactions, managing customer records, and assisting in office operations. Your work will contribute to our operations in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts payable entries diligently and accurately.

• Assist in setting up subcontracts, invoice entries, and payment releases.

• Engage in inventory entry and reconciliation tasks.

• Perform statement reconciliation and request invoices from vendors.

• Manage AP filing and job filing operations.

• Utilize Excel, Word, and Outlook for various tasks.

• Act as a team player, contributing to the overall office environment.

• Answer phones and address inquiries in a professional manner.

• Maintain attention to detail in all tasks.

• Apply a general understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.

• Utilize standard office equipment such as postage machine and copier.

• Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is required.

• Demonstrated experience in using Excel Formulas is essential.

• Must possess strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.

• Detail-oriented with an ability to spot numerical errors.

• Ability to handle confidential information.

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.

• Experience in data entry and general office administration.

• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Knowledge of general accounting procedures.

• Proficient in data entry and management.

• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
