Compensation Range

Hourly: $20.45 - $23.80 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to assess the completeness of information by comparing the request with supporting documents

Essential Functions

  • Receive and assess incoming electronic requisitions and change order requests

  • Confirm that the necessary approvals, number of external bids and contract signatures have been acquired

  • Verify all accounting details including general ledger accounts, company and cost centers, fixed asset codes and CAP numbers are accurate and complete

  • Process user requisitions through the Workday system to issue Purchase Orders to vendors

  • Maintain all purchasing files, vendor pricing, CAP numbers, and internal location lists in Workday, including bid documents, business justifications, legal reviews, correspondence, and internal audit reviews

  • Provide assistance and guidance to user departments regarding the clarification of purchasing policies and procedures

  • Assist in preparing monthly variance reports for property repairs and capital expenditure projects, including researching significant report variances as needed

  • Provide support for the preparation of department procedure manuals.

  • Run system queries within Workday for Purchase Orders, Work Orders and Projects as required

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Knowledge of accounting issues, such as capital expenditure vs. expense items and general ledger account coding

  • Intermediate analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to resolve complex problems and make decisions based on policies and procedures

  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the company, clearly expressing ideas and concepts, both verbally and in writing

  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Education & Experience

  • Associates degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelors degree preferred.

  • 2+ years of purchasing experience required

  • 1+ years of work in an automated purchasing environment preferred

  • Experience working in Logic Manager and Workday software preferred
