Grundfos CBS Inc. is seeking an experienced Demand Planner to join its Supply Chain team. The Planner will be responsible for the scheduling of appropriate Production activities, analyzing, evaluating, and calculating optimum inventory control elements, maintaining Stock Transport Orders between the branches, and acting as the primary Sales and branch interface. This position reports directly to the Supply Planning Supervisor and will operate daily out of the Brookshire, Texas facility. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Evaluates incoming customer orders and provides lead time, quotes, or commitment dates.

  • Follows the demand plan and executes relevant activities to achieve daily output targets in production based on MRP requirements and customer’s delivery dates while maximizing the production build plan target daily.

  • Coordinates with manufacturing, purchasing, quality, engineering, sales, and other support teams to alleviate constraints to on time delivery KPI indicators.

  • Review stock levels for production components to meet forecasts and demands by supporting the inventory management process, including the implementation of safety stock strategies.

  • Perform extensive data analysis to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and insights to develop new forecasting models or improve existing ones.

  • Review and identify gaps and improvements to planning processes and provide recommendations for improvements.

  • Coordinate changes to routing instructions and bills of materials with relevant stakeholders, when necessary.

  • General Understanding and ability to utilize continuous improvement tools and techniques such as but not limited to: Kanban, one-piece flow, value stream mapping, integrated product teams, theory of constraints, 6S, RCCA, Lean, and inventory reduction.

  • Understands planning master data fields in SAP, updates and maintains data accordingly.

  • Perform the job in a way that meets all applicable laws, regulations and EHS requirements.

Your background:

We imagine that you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or Engineering is required.

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in demand planning or production control in a high mix manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with ERP Systems, Business Intelligence applications and MS Office, preferably SAP ERP/Power BI. Proven skill set in Excel is required.

  • Professional Certificate such as APICS/CPIM is desirable.

  • Lean Six Sigma Belt preferred.

  • Ability to use analytical skills and statistical techniques to solve complex supply chain issues.

  • Strong decision making by facts-based decision and following through to completion.

  • Continuous improvement and process optimization mindset.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, and ability to interact with associates at all levels of the organization.
