Core work hours: Monday-Friday 8:00a-5:00p; with the ability to be flexible to meet community needs
For more than 40 years, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman has served the communities of Kaufman, Crandall, Forney, Gun Barrel City, Mabank, Terrell and surrounding areas. We’re a 81-bed, acute-care, full-service hospital that serves our community with excellence every day.
We specialize in a wide variety of surgical services, including orthopedic surgery as well as diagnostic and imaging services and outpatient physical therapy. We also specialize in respiratory care, nuclear medicine and emergency medicine.

Job Description
Plan, coordinate and implement community relations programs, services, and events for Kaufman County and adjacent counties as necessary
Coordinate with local emergency medical service agencies and serve as a liaison
Organize business leaders meetings/events to engage business community
Promote service lines and strategic growth through various outreach activities
Coordinate and participate with local Chambers of Commerce and other civic organizations
Oversee charitable contributions and online grant tool
Direct hospital involvement with non-profit agencies and community organizations
Oversee the car seat check program
Oversee community health fairs, business flu shot programs, and coordinate blood drives
Serve as a liaison for academic programs
Lead entity committees specific to the community and serve as a project manager for related initiatives
Maintain relationships and communicate with city, county, state and federal elected leaders
Coordinate messages and issues with THR governmental affairs department
Inform local leaders about issues impacting entity
Monitor public concerns/comments that potentially impact entity
Advocate legislation when needed and as appropriate
Supervise and direct the entity's CBISA tracking program, CTO projects, community outreach committee and
Faith Nursing department
Monitor and ensure entity compliance with all CBISA tracking program guidelines and submit reports timely
Advise and provide support and strategy for the entity's Community Outreach Committee
Coordinate local CTO projects for entity employees
Inform and engage board members, senior leadership and staff with regards to community health improvement
efforts and community benefit
Coordinate with system services and provide a liaison to the Faith Community Nursing Program and work on
local strategies to help develop the program
Build public relationships, represent the entity in the community through board participation and attendance at
community events and position entity as a corporate leader in the community
Serve on non-profit boards and lead relevant entity based committees
Identify members for hospital councils and forums
Attend community events as advocate for entity Community Outreach Committee planning
Recommend strategies to accomplish desired outcomes of increased growth in service lines
Manage assigned programs and present data to administrative council on the efficacy of programs and value of
the entity's investment
Serve as Promise Champion and Promote Service Excellence
Support and develop strategies to move patient, employee and physician satisfaction to top decile performance
Present at new employee orientation
Work with THR service excellence team to develop and promote Promise standards
Identify opportunities for staff and leadership to strengthen service excellence skills and Promise behaviors
Business Operations:
Manages and provides fiscal oversight of sponsorship and community support budgets including making
suggestions on better ways to use designated funding
Create and manage to the annual budget providing variance reports and action plans if variances exist
Identify opportunities to improve the use of entity funds to promote community health improvement
Education
Bachelor's Degree Required
And
Master's Degree Preferred
Experience
5 Years progressive experience in community relations, community outreach or public health; including without limitation extensive prior experience as liaison with business, civic and governmental leaders in the community Required
Skills
Exemplary levels of written and oral communication. Equally high levels of emotional and social intelligence.
