Job Title: Industrial Hygienist
Job Description
We are seeking an entry-level Industrial Hygienist with a history in Industrial Hygiene. Candidates with at least 1 year of industry experience in Industrial Hygiene or a BA/BS Degree with internships or co-ops will be considered. The primary focus will be on building environmental inspections. We encourage those interested in exploring additional service lines such as noise assessments and air quality evaluations.
Responsibilities
Conduct environmental surveys, mold and moisture investigations, noise assessments, and other industrial hygiene activities.
Write detailed technical reports.
Prepare cost estimates and proposals.
Collaborate effectively with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
Coordinate work schedules with subcontractors.
Uphold health and safety standards, including conducting local field visits.
Travel regionally for field visits up to 5-10% of the time.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, geology, environmental science, or a related field.
1-3 years of industry experience.
Technical proficiency in industrial hygiene practices.
Proficiency in technical report writing.
Strong mathematical skills, including understanding scientific notations and advanced mathematical concepts.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, and the ability to learn other software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Possession or pursuit of professional certifications (CIH, CSP, CHMM) is a plus.
Prior experience or training in industrial hygiene investigations and applicable regulations.
Willingness to work in the field and travel as needed.
Work Environment
The role involves a balanced mix of office and field work, with approximately 50/50 distribution that may vary based on workload and project types. Projects include working with long-term partners like federal contractors and handling various industrial hygiene inspections and reports. The position requires readiness to serve clients on-site, usually during standard office hours (8-5 pm), with flexibility for emergencies or client deadlines. Company vehicles are provided for work purposes and must remain at the office after hours. Weekly Monday morning meetings are held to review projects, and the position involves extensive report writing, project management, and client interaction. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
