Our Civil Structural Engineering Supervisor role offers flexibility with opportunities in: Kennesaw, GA Naperville, IL Overland Park, KS Kennewick, WA Responsibilities Our Civil Structural Engineering Supervisors have the opportunity to lead collaborative interdisciplinary teams and ensure project success. A typical day will include mentoring a talented team of engineers, driving impactful projects, running project meetings, and supporting critical DOE missions. You will also need to: Leadership & Project Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for Civil/Structural Engineering, coordinating with Management, PMs, and internal teams to direct and assign work to staff. Collaborate with project Lead Engineers to ensure quality standards are met and maintain control over project budgets and schedules. Assign discipline Responsible Engineers (RE) for projects, and approve engineering documents, certifying designs as required by state and local regulations Business Development & Client Relations: Support proposal preparation and lead cost estimation for scope and budget. Develop professional relationships with clients and actively market the group's expertise to attract new business opportunities Team Development & Training: Identify and promote training opportunities (e.g. owner's groups, manufacturers, professional society) through owner's groups, manufacturers, and professional societies. Use the review and approval process for deliverables as a technical training opportunity for staff. Provide timely performance feedback, coaching, and promote professional development (licenses, certifications, client qualifications). Demonstrate technical leadership by resolving technical issues through personal expertise or by engaging Subject Matter Experts Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement: Assist the Engineering Manager in maintaining, updating, and executing Continuous Improvement Plans to optimize team performance. Support company policies and procedures Resource Allocation & Staff Management: Manage the assignment of engineering resources to projects through Lead Engineers. Maintain short- and long-term staffing projections based on work forecasts. Approve timesheets and expense reports for Lead Engineers and other direct reports. Conduct annual performance appraisals and support recruitment efforts to build a strong team Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university and 6 years of Civil Engineering experience with a focus on steel and concrete structural design 2+ Years of experience leading employees or leading multidiscipline projects Licensed Professional Engineer (or proof of near term plan to obtain) Requi
