Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will experience in accounts payable, with a particular focus on the manufacturing industry. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with management and grow within the company.
Responsibilities
Perform accounts payable tasks and match vendor invoices to purchase orders, contracts, and receiving documents (3-way match).
Prepare and post journal entries, as well as forecast weekly reports and AP aging reports.
Handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.
Support the accounting team with month-end close and prepare month-end vendor accruals.
Process electronic and manual payments for vendors based on terms.
Understand cash flow, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
Prepare daily cash reports, process vouchers, checks, ACH payments, and wires.
Implement strategic initiatives to improve cash flow.
Manage a medium volume of invoices.
Essential Skills
2+ years of accounts payable experience (3-way match, purchase invoices).
Experience in the manufacturing industry.
Proficiency in Excel, accounting, accounts payable, and invoicing.
Strong data entry and analytical skills.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment.
Experience with MS Office, MS Outlook, and ERP systems.
Strong team player.
