The Data Visualization Lead role will be responsible for transforming complex data into visually compelling and actionable insights. The role will collaborate closely with business users and data engineering team to develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations that enable the users to drive strategic initiatives and business outcomes. Also responsible for ensuring accuracy and reliability of data visualizations through testing and validation, adhering to data governance and best practices. Potential to manage junior resources.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop tools to drive continuous improvement in business processes (marketing attribution, customer segmentation, pricing, etc) enabling the development of insightful visualizations out of complicated analytics and actionable recommendations for the business teams

  • Data modeling and integration of multiple sources of data into centralized data marts for consumption by the project team and other business units

  • Works on ad hoc projects as needed to provide business insights or data modeling

  • Aids in leadership and development of the business analytics team to provide key insights into maximizing business value through a data-focused approach.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, accounting, IT or a technical field

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in business analysis or data modeling

  • Complete E2E understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques

  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Expert Microsoft Suite abilities, including, but not limited to, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong analytical skills with a record of developing and integrating complex data sets

  • Expert in using SQL or other tools to transform and store data

  • Expert in gathering and defining requirements reports and/or dashboards

  • Comfortable with learning new technical tools

  • Strong capability to provide influential leadership to reach business decisions

  • Well organized and detail oriented

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, with flexibility and adaptability

  • Demonstrates a high degree of integrity and maturity in working with confidential and sensitive material

  • Effective communication and presentation (creation/facilitation) skills with all levels of management

  • Must be customer focused, seek continuous improvement and be highly self-directed

  • Knowledge of data extraction techniques from various sources including SFDC, SAP ECC and SAP BW preferred

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
