Clean Harbors Intern Field Operations- Incineration Blends Chemist in Kimball, Nebraska

We Build with Passion- Clean Harbors Kimball, NE NEW Incineration unit is seeking an Intern- Incineration Blends Chemist will learn about planning operations associated with the high-temperature destruction of hazardous and non-hazardous materials through the company's industrial incinerator located in Kimball, NE. We pay 100% student housing for the Summer '25 and $25 per hour paid weekly.

Ensuring that health and safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
Assist in the production plan for the incineration unit and follow through with inspections to ensure successful achievement of production goals
Learn about the scheduling of waste materials into the facility
Perform sequences for the Operations Manager(s) and/or Supervisors
Learn about all required paperwork associated with tracking the waste
Learn about all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines and compliance parameters
Perform problem-solving when results fall outside of mandated specifications
Assist with month-end inventory reconciliation and management
Work closely with plant management to implement operational improvement strategies to maximize efficiencies throughout the unit
Other duties as assigned
Currently a Jr./Sr. Pursuing Bachelor of Science Chemical Engineering from an accredited US University- required
Advance Chemical knowledge required
Industrial operations experience preferred, but not required
Computer skills and proficiency with office applications (i.e. MS Excel and Outlook)
Ability to interview onsite in Kimball, NE prior to offer (we don't cover travel expenses)
Candidate must have excellent organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks
Must have strong logic and problem-solving skills
Individual must show leadership skills, be self-motivated with a good work history, a good attendance record and be able to work in a team environment
Ability to work in team environment
Ability to perform multiple tasks
Respirator fit test upon hire- clean shaven face required (mustache okay!)
Ability to successfully complete a background check, drug screen (including cannabis) and physical
Valid Driver's License- required
