Naval Facilities Engineering Command CONSTRUCTION MANAGER in Kings Bay Naval Base, Georgia

Summary You will serve as a CONSTRUCTION MANAGER in the Planing, Design, and Construction Directorate of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE. Responsibilities You will oversee a wide variety of functions to monitor and maintain progress, and ensure safe, high quality and timely completion of construction contracts within the approved project budget. You will enforce contract compliance with all contractual requirements regarding project delivery, project schedules, and time and cost management. You will work with customers, contractors, designers, quality assurance, and personnel to determine appropriate direction and/or changes necessary to the contracts to provide the customer with fully functional facilities. You will serve as the construction lead for assigned projects or major portions of large projects being procured and built under a construction contract. You will perform construction tasks in accordance with NAVFAC Construction Manager Handbook, current fiscal year NAVFAC Business Operations Plan (BOP) and all NAVFAC Business Management System (BMS) processes. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector implementing quality assurance programs to ensure safe and timely completion of construction contracts within project schedule and budget, AND performing contract administration in accordance with contract requirements (i.e. monitor construction progress, determine contract modifications and costs, review and assess contractor's claims and requests for payments).
