Become a Team member at Ulster County Community Action Committee, Inc., (UCCAC) in the Weatherization and EmPower Departments. As a Crew Worker, you will perform weatherization measures on client homes including but not limited to insulation, door and window installation, caulking, weather stripping, air sealing and other related duties as requested by the Crew Foreman, Energy Auditor or Program Director.
Ulster County Community Action (UCCAC) is a source of direct support for families who live in poverty in Ulster and Sullivan Counties, New York. For 56 years UCCAC has been providing a network of programs that serve the needs of children and families living in poverty.
Our prominent programs include Early Head Start, Head Start, Energy Assistance and Weatherization, and Outreach program. Through its programs, UCCAC has created positive change in the lives of children and families.
This position is part of the weatherization team that visits customer homes. They are responsible for installing, repairing, or renovating residential energy-related material, equipment, and systems for customers. They follow work scopes prescribed by the Energy Auditor to improve energy efficiency and safety of residential homes for NYS low-income households by repairing and/or renovating energy-related materials and equipment.
Additional responsibilities include: Properly storing and accounting for inventory of program supplies and material; Driving Agency vehicles as needed
Crew members also provide customer education on energy efficiency and perform client services and daily responsibilities in a professional manner that continually promotes the agency's mission and values.
Requirements
Must be 18+; a High School Diploma/GED is required with a basic knowledge of house construction and at least one year of experience in construction and general labor. Must have a valid NYS Driver's License. Bilingual/multilingual skills are a plus.

Classification/Hours:
Non-Exempt; 35 hours per week during regular work hours 7:30 am-3:00 pm; 52 weeks per year.
