The Country HR Responsible act as 'guide' for the local organization into the HR function, by supporting the organization to the right direction and get their required HR services delivered, ensuring a good employee experience.
Your main responsibilities:
Labor Relations
Support the Country Director in representing the company before workers council, unions, courts, or other interested parties in matters, such as negotiations, local agreements, grievances, arbitration meetings and work with internal and external Legal Counsel for litigated claims and other employment legal matters.
Interpreting and providing advice to Managers, BP’s, and HR services with regard to local legal and labor law issues on matters related to the administration of contracts or employee discipline or grievance procedures. This includes writing/drafting and approving employee disciplinary actions, such as written reprimands, suspensions, or terminations, in the shadow of company values and guidelines, in respect of local legislation.
Preventing employment law issues e.g., presentation and facilitation of rules and guidelines within the area
Resolve conflicts and provide counseling on legal issues for people or groups within the country.
Professionalize the local labor relationship process according to global guidelines.
Support global footprint activities (if any) and responsible for the compliance element related to this.
Compliance
Ensure compliance with labor laws in the country, any local employment laws, and act as company representative in resolving any complains related to such compliance issues.
Ensures a proper handling of labor/personnel audits (both internal and external) and labor authorities requests.
Support Country Director in implementing any local mandatory/corporate compliance trainings at country level (if applicable)
Responsible for handling HR legal cases supported by external lawyers.
Embed the company values in the way we treat people from a compliance perspective.
Establish local policies and guidelines when needed in respect of local legislation or company needs.
Translate global policies into local actions.
Have overview of the number of legal cases and related consequences and costs.
HR Policies and Processes
Responsible for issuing and maintaining local HR related policies ensuring alignment with Group rules. policies and local legislation
Support deployment and alignment of local processes, policies and practices across the country ensuring alignment to Group rules and standards and adhering to the HR delivery model.
Support the implementation of global HR systems and processes.
Interpret and process internal policies and standards.
HR transactional deliveries (if not supported from global HR set up)
In each of the following HR delivery areas, the Country HR Responsible will act a country HR generalist (non-exhaustive):
Payroll
Payroll processing and payroll system support
Collaboration with payroll vendor
Local merit coordinator
Payroll reporting
Time
Sick leave administration
Coordinate time management systems.
Absence reporting
Benefits & compensation
Recommend and maintain local benefit policies.
Collaboration with local vendors
Local benefit administration (pension, retirement, health programs, insurance, etc.)
Local share coordinator
Onboarding & offboarding
Employee contracts and addendums
Employee master data
Company orientation for new employees (policies and benefits)
Managers exit formalities.
Mobility
Local admin support in connection with expatriates, short-term assignments, etc.
Employee performance
Local incentive supporter
Local PDD admin
Assist recruitments in postings on local job boards.
L&D
Collaborate with local training vendors for Country-related, compliance courses.
Support HRBPs / Managers on local training arrangements
Registration of learning activities
Reporting
Group reports
Reports for local authorities
Employee and organizational data
Request employee and organizational data changes (employee movements, new departments, HR reports etc.)
Other responsibilities
Coordination at Country Level: The HR “go-to” person for the Business Country Manager / Group about HR ad-hoc tasks related to the country (e.g. crisis management or riskmanagement, organizational changes)
Other responsibilities
Create and maintain local employee handbook.
Local Employee Motivation Survey coordinator
Handle local employee archives/documents.
Continuous improvement within local processes and use of local systems
Maintain knowledge of HR practices the local market.
Documentation of all local tasks at instruction level
Handle requests via ServiceNow ticketing system
Your background:
Relevant master’s or bachelor’s degree
Minimum 5 years of experience within HR in a generalist position, with solid hands-on experience with the operational aspect of all HR disciplines
Experience with employment and labor law, collective agreements and collaborating with Unions/Working Councils or shop stewards (if any)
Experience working in an international company with a shared service set up.
Experience with design of HR processes and policies.
Proficient in English Language is a must.
