Follows procedures to ensure hotel guests receive exceptional services by properly trained Desk Clerks. Serves as a resource in the area of Hotel Guest Services’ Standard Operating Procedures and assists manager with guest concerns. Interacts professionally with staff members and hotel guests. Interview incoming guests to determine their status in order to assign appropriate quarters and answers questions pertaining to rules and regulations governing the assignment and use of quarters, issues room keys. Responsibilities: 1. Make and confirm future reservations, ensuring accurate payment methods are collected 2. Audit daily Front Desk work for accuracy 3. Makes customer service number one priority 4. Deals with guests in a positive manner 5. Ensures the safety and well-being of guests 6. Greets and checks-in/out guests efficiently 7. Keeps the lobby and coffee station tidy 8. Conducts floor checks periodically 9. Responsible for responding to complaints in a positive manner and resolves the issues. 10. Provides input to the Guest House manager in evaluating and reviewing Desk Clerks job performance. 11. Responsible for training and supporting Front Desk Clerks. Additional Duties: As needed or not more than 25%: Assist the hotel manager and housekeeping department with the cleaning and sanitizing of guest rooms. Cleaning and sanitizing include the following: 1. Understand chemical usage to clean/service guest rooms and safe storing of chemicals. 2. Dust, strip and remake beds with clean linens including rollways. Ensure rooms are vacant, cleaned and serviced properly for arrivals. 3. Install Packn'Plays and rollaway beds; includes making the rollaway beds with clean linen. Performs other related duties as assigned. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide at the level necessary to complete required reports. 2. Available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, and able to be in an on-call status to assist with guest lockouts. 3. Ability to work as a team player. 4. Ability to work independently.4. Read, write, and speak fluent English to communicate effectively with guests and staff. 5. The aptitude to handle guest interactions with tact and patience. 6. A background clearance conducted after hire. Applicant must pass this clearance successfully. Continued employment is contingent on favorable background check 7. Physically able to lift 25lbs and carry for a reasonable distance. 8. The ability to climb, bend, lift, push, and pull as required to complete tasks. 9. Ability to stand and work long hours.
