We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Vice President, Client Origination, IPB - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: SVP, Client Origination, IPB - C14) based in Hong Kong. In this role, you’re expected to:

  • Responsible for the management of Greater Bay Area project and may manage a team, product, process or transformation with a large amount of independence.

  • Direct the creation of multiple projects of work and manage their alignment to business goals.

  • Lead the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross-functional macro level topics within/across projects and with Senior Management.

  • Lead all business development efforts to engage prospects in active discussions with the business through proactive contacting of prioritized prospects as identified by the business verticals, leveraging internal relationships within Citi and building relationships with industry consultants and advisors.

  • Work closely with the business verticals and management to monitor the ever-changing market landscape to ensure Citi has the opportunity to target and engage with select strategic prospects.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • Solid project management and GBA experience

  • Demonstrate a consistent track record having worked as a Project Manager, Lead, PMO or department head, managing teams and large, strategic cross-functional projects.

  • Manage client expectations, anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them; clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to immediate manager where required.

  • Clear understanding of the firm's different businesses and the related economics.

  • Experience in managing one or multiple retail banking products preferred.

  • Good English and Chinese (Proficient in Mandarin would be an advantage)
