Reporting to the Water Maintenance Supervisor, under general supervision, the Senior Water Treatment Technician is the DOH certified treatment operator responsible for the field activities associated with operation, maintenance and repair of water treatment facilities, chlorine production facilities and required water distribution system sampling.  This position is responsible for duties which include, but are not limited to, ensuring that all potable water meets State and Federal regulatory standards and City of Lacey treatment facility water quality goals; inspecting, testing, calibrating and servicing of all water treatment systems and related equipment: and assigning and directing the work of individuals and crews performing maintenance and repair work, facilities maintenance work, and special projects. Frequently works in the field alone or as a member of the crew and performs assigned administrative duties in the office.
