Job Description
Investigates internal and external complaints and provides corrective and preventive actions in conjunction with lab management. Reviews and evaluates lab processes and recommends quality and/or process changes.
Job Responsibility
Investigates complaints, implement solutions in conjunction with lab management
Maintain, track and trend complaints
Performs Root Cause Analysis as needed
Works with lab management to establish and collect performance improvement metrics
Collects, prepares and analyzes quality reports for trends. Work with lab management for action plans as applicable
Assists departmental management to prepare for PI meetings
Maintains accurate documentation and tracking of PT including corrective actions
Helps to prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections
Reviews test/EMR validations with LIS
Performs audits, document findings and review action outcomes
Assists in updating quality system policies
Communicates with internal and external clients
Act as representative for QM in meetings

Job Qualification
Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Current License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Cytotechnologist in New York State preferred, plus specialized certifications as needed.
1-3 years of relevant experience, required.

The salary range for this position is $66,220-$108,180/year
