Publix Super Markets Inc currently operates 1390+ grocery stores & pharmacies in the southeast and growing! Publix is looking for a seasoned compliance professional with a proven track record, to define and execute the pharmacy compliance program and corporate compliance within the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) framework.
As Compliance Program Manager, you will be accountable for:
leading, facilitating, and overseeing multiple strategic and critical legal, regulatory, and pharmacy compliance teams.
assessing and reassessing developed pharmacy compliance programs to align with the Department of Justice Corporate Compliance Program Guidance.
auditing and monitoring developed pharmacy compliance programs and processes to meet effectiveness standards.
developing and redeveloping corresponding education and training programs in coordination with Pharmacy Operations and Education Training and Development (ETD).
managing talent, including hiring, mentoring, supervising, and providing daily operational guidance to direct reports to efficiently maintain and manage pharmacy compliance programs, maintain current expertise and knowledge in the pharmacy compliance field, and keep abreast of industry best practice.
providing expert pharmacy compliance, strategic planning, and project management services to support Pharmacy Operations.

Year End Bonus:
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or related field from an accredited university.
Be able to obtain Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), and Certified in HealthCare Compliance (CHC) if applicable, within 2 years in job
at least six (6) years’ experience in the following areas:
independently managing pharmacy projects (i.e., serving as lead for improvement effort with defined deliverables/outcomes)
pharmacy regulatory processes
developing pharmacy process documentation and/or analyzing business processes
advance knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and SharePoint
intermediate knowledge of PowerPoint
knowledge of:
project management techniques, strategic planning continuous quality improvement methodology
Chapter Eight of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines and other similar rules relating to executing effective corporate pharmacy compliance programs
communication types and vehicles, and the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with all levels of the organization and third-party payors
ability to facilitate team development of mitigation strategies that protect Publix and support Publix’s overall strategic direction
strong skills in the following areas:

positive leadership and interpersonal skills
willingness to travel
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
Pharmacist License in at least one of the following states: FL, AL, GA, NC, SC, TN, and VA.
Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP)
Certified in HealthCare Compliance (CHC)
eight (8) or more years’ experience in the following areas:
independently managing large cross-functional pharmacy projects involving multiple business areas
management-level or decision-making experience working in pharmacy regulatory functions (e.g., audit, compliance, etc.)
developing pharmacy process documentation and/or analyzing business processes
knowledge of:
regulations promulgated by various governmental agencies that impact pharmacy reimbursement and compliance programs
Publix functions and processes associated with each business area within the company
Corporate Compliance and Ethics Program methodology
general audit principles
structured writing techniques, including knowledge of MS Word templates and Publix-specific templates (such as BigDoc and SmallDoc)
