We're seeking a skilled Mobile App Developer to join our team, responsible for designing and developing high-quality applications for iOS and Android platforms. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll translate requirements into technical specifications and lead development efforts. Your role includes ensuring application performance, security, and usability, staying updated with the latest trends, and maintaining clean, reusable code.

Responsibilities

Main Ingredients:

  • Design and develop high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, loyalty, IS) to gather and analyze requirements, then translate them into technical specifications

  • Contribute to UI design efforts to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience

  • Manage all components of the Natural Grocers mobile application for iOS and Android

  • Maintain the security and upkeep of servers to ensure the reliability and safety of data transmission and storage

  • Develop and implement security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other threats

  • Stay up to date with the latest mobile app development trends, tools, and technologies

  • Optimize application performance and implement security best practices

  • Write clean, readable, reusable code with good documentation

  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to maintain the functionality of existing applications

Qualifications

Recipe for Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, and 4 years in related field (or equivalent work bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, and 4 years in a related field (or equivalent work experience)

  • Proven experience as a Mobile App Developer, with a strong portfolio of successful mobile applications

  • Proficiency in Flutter (other programming languages a plus, such as Swift, Objective-C, Java, Kotlin)

  • Solid understanding of mobile app development frameworks, design patterns, and best practices

  • Experience with mobile app testing, debugging, and performance optimization

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Experience with UI/UX design principles and tools

  • A solid understanding and experience with of APIs (Ajax, REST, Web services, XML, JSON, JSONP)

  • Experience with relational database Systems with an emphasis on MySQL.

  • Proficient at T-SQL.

  • Experience with Redis

  • Experience administering and running applications in Tomcat

  • Experience administering Docker containers in Azure

  • Experience with Active MQ, Rabit MQ, and other messaging services.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously

  • Creativity, enthusiasm and energy with a strong customer focus

  • Familiarity with Azure server administration and security best practices

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Experience with Jira project management software

    Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to constantly lift or carry up to 10 lbs., frequently lift or carry 11-20 lbs., and occasionally lift or carry 21-50 lbs. Must also have the ability to occasionally lift or carry 51-100 lbs. with a team lift.

  • Must have the ability to frequently push or pull up to 15 lbs. and occasionally push or pull 16-100 lbs.

  • Must be able to occasionally use the computer for data entry and use of mouse.

  • Must be able to constantly walk, stand, use fine motor manipulations, grip, bend, twist, turn, and reach outward for the duration of the work shift.

  • Must be able to frequently to reach above chest.

  • Must be able to occasionally sit, squat, kneel, and climb as needed.

    Environmental Requirements:

  • Must be able to frequently work with sharp tools and equipment, dust, fumes, and congested worksite.

  • Must be able to occasionally work with noise, cold, heat, wet, humid, outside, heights, and contact stress.
