The Role

Multiple exciting opportunities have opened up to join Kyndryl’s Global Privacy and Data Governance Office ! This role can be performed remotely and is ideal for candidates prepared to be a key contributor to Kyndryl’s Global Privacy Operations team, reporting to the Legal function. We will be hiring for multiple positions for this role and will consider candidates at varying levels of experience.

As a Privacy Operations Team Member you will be part of a team responsible for developing and driving privacy compliance operations and associated interactions with Kyndryl’s Chief Information Office (CIO), Chief Information Security Office (CISO), Procurement, Marketing and business teams. The role requires an understanding of global regulatory requirements in privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, AI and supply chain management and the ability to create, implement and manage programs to identify and mitigate risk and measure, track and report on compliance globally across Kyndryl’s business and commercial operations.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the CIO, CISO, Procurement, Marketing, and other teams, as well as members of the Kyndryl Global Privacy and Data Governance Office, to align privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, AI, and supply chain management operations with Kyndryl’s strategic objectives.

You will also work with Kyndryl’s Global Practices and customer engagement teams to ensure these operations meet the company’s needs. A key part of your responsibilities will be to understand the legal requirements that drive these areas, enabling you to recommend improvements and clearly communicate Kyndryl’s operations to relevant business stakeholders and customer account teams.

Your success will be measured by your ability to support customer, enterprise, and regulatory audits, respond effectively to inquiries from Kyndryl personnel regarding privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, AI, and supply chain management processes, and manage requests for information. You will also play a pivotal role in optimizing and managing internal processes, providing guidance on the collection, use, and processing of personal data, as well as the use of cookies, pixels, and other web-tracking technologies.

Additionally, you will be responsible for responding to data subject requests related to these areas. Finally, you will manage, update, and curate internal and external guidance and content concerning privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, AI, and supply chain management.

The compensation range for this position in the US is $116,760 to $221,880 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills, and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city, or local minimum wage requirement.

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave and paid time off. Note: if this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

To be successful in this role you will need an understanding of global regulatory requirements in privacy and cybersecurity, technical and process skills, and will have the following experience and skills:

  • An understanding of international data privacy, cybersecurity, and data governance laws and regulations, including EU, US and parallel international accountability requirements.

  • 3+ years of experience managing global privacy operations in-house

  • 3+ years of experience in technology (IT, outsourcing, managed services or cloud computing industries) and/or regulated industry

  • Experience with privacy management tools and offerings (e.g., OneTrust)

  • Effective communication skills (both in writing and verbally)

  • Proven ability to work as part of diverse and multi-cultural teams of both legal and business colleagues

  • Proven ability to collaborate across business functions

  • Demonstrated business judgment and ability to rationalize operations

Preferred Experience

  • Degree in law, accounting or audit from an accredited university

  • Certification in privacy law or management (e.g., IAPP CIPP-US, CIPP-EU, CIPM)

  • Additional language(s) would be an advantage
